Horses for Sale
We are happy to offer several great geldings
from the New Albion
Stud (Michael Bowling) that have come to us to start their
endurance conditioning, as well as horses from our own program.
(New Albion bred the 2000 Tevis winner Benjih and several
of these geldings are closely related to him.) All of the horses
on our sales list are CMK, and all are bred to work!
(Photos available for those horses that
display links.)
GELDINGS:
Zeffer #474541 Chestnut Arabian gelding, 1991. Another good New
Albion Stud (Bowling) gelding, well started in jumping and dressage.
435 AERC miles, including Top Tens, a 75-miler, and a High Vet
Score. Very athletic--best recovery parameters we've seen in
a long time. Won Sport Horse Under Saddle class at Idaho All-Arabian
Country Classic show in 2003 in between two Top Ten endurance
rides. Sired by the imported straight Crabbet stallion *Seffer
(sire of Dennis Tracy's San Ffrancisco). Dam is by Ben Rabba,
with lines to Zadir and Abu Farwa.
Najiri #491823 Bay Arabian gelding, 1992. Bred by the Bowlings,
paternal half brother to Benjih, the 2000 Tevis winner. Lines
to Aurab, Abu Farwa, and *Witez II. Very athletic and personable
gelding. Has 525 AERC miles to date. "Jerry" would
make a great horse for an advanced junior or an intermediate
adult--he has a terrific personality, is a very honest horse
with no spooks, and takes good care of himself.
Abu Manzanar
#549145 Chestnut Arabian gelding,
1997. Another good Bowling gelding, grandson of Abu Malacar (by
Muhuli). Double Abu Farwa, as well as Aurab and Zadir breeding.
Has done two LDs and two 50s. Should make a good 100-miler or
multiday horse. Lots of substance--would be a good HW horse.
He's past the "prospect" stage and is one of the most
promising horses we've seen in a long time.
MARES AND FILLIES:
Zafariyeh #493497 Chestnut
mare, 1993. By Abu Zanzabar (by Abu Malacar) x Sagira El-Galan
(by Galan). Multiple crosses to Abu Farwa, as well as crosses
to Aurab, Zadir, Antez, and *Witez II. Has been a good broodmare
for us--has two sons in endurance homes (one should be hitting
the trail in 2007) and we are retaining a 2006 filly from her.
Zafariyeh is a strong mare with good bone. She is open and ready
to breed to the stallion of your choice in 2007. We would be
happy to breed her to one of ours before she leaves.
FV Far Zia #543195 Bay mare, 1992. By Argonaut (by Ga'Zi) x Rita Farwa
(by Tasmoun). Multiple crosses to Abu Farwa as well as lines
to Alla Amarward, Ferseyn, *Mounwer, etc. Far Zia has two sons
already competing in endurance; we are retaining at least one
of her two daughters. She is currently in foal, and we wish to
retain the foal she is carrying. Far Zia has the best bone and
substance we've seen in a mare. She is a kind mare and exceptionally
easy to handle.
SH Laws Autumn #571305 Bay mare, 1998. By Lawmoss (by Lawseyn) x SH Summer
Breeze (by Argonaut). Multiple crosses to Abu Farwa (including
2 through Muhuli), as well as crosses to Ferseyn, etc. We are
retaining a son and a daughter of this mare. She is in foal to
SH Ben Amiri (Abu Ben Surrabu x Amiri
Trkeeta by Las-Trad) for a March foal, and sells as a 2-in-1
package.
LJ Owyhee Cinnabar #608750 Chestnut filly, 2004. Bred by Rick and Carol Brand.
By Kilaueaa Flame from Van Gilder Arabians. We had planned to
incorporate this filly into our breeding program, but simply
have to cut back. She is an exceedingly athletic filly and would
make an outstanding endurance horse, or would fit well into any
endurance breeding program. (Or both!)
SH Dona Teresa (pending) Bay filly, 2005. By Don
Cesar and out of FV Far Zia (above). Good endurance or breeding
prospect.
These horses are living and being conditioned at 5000 feet and
above, on rugged central Idaho terrain, so should be ready for
anything! Please contact us for a current price list, and for
updates on ride records, etc.
Our horses have
logged over 41,000 miles in endurance competition!
